Leigh has stepped into the role previously held by our Premiership Coach, Paul Guicas, who was unable to coach in 2024.
Having collaborated closely with Paul earlier in the pre-season, Leigh now inherits a remarkable young playing group that has been meticulously built and nurtured under Paul’s guidance.
Building upon the exceptional foundation laid down by Paul Guicas over the past four years, Leigh sees no boundaries for what this group can achieve in 2024.
He will lead the highly esteemed coaching team, with his senior assistant Colby Blyth recently joining, a development that brings great excitement for the Club’s future.
Leigh boasts an illustrious history with the club, having played over 300 games and notably contributing to the Senior Premiership victory in 2001 against Greenvale.
Recognized for his on-field prowess, Leigh was named on the half-back flank in the Hall of Fame team. Transitioning into coaching, he led the Keilor Park senior team in B grade, narrowly missing out on finals in 2011.
Leigh’s coaching journey includes valuable stints at Sunbury Lions and Keilor FC, where he learned from some of the finest coaches outside the AFL system.
