Female Football Program

One of the best things about or Female Football Program at KPFC is giving the junior girls the opportunity to train with our senior team throughout the summer.

Tara is only 11 and has been training with the senior women since October last year. This has given her the opportunity to train with experienced players at VFL level and some of the EDFL’s top players from last season, along with the entire senior women’s team that created such a wonderful environment at the club last year.

She has also had access to sessions involving former AFL players and guest speakers on other issues including women’s ACL injury prevention. We are focused on a development pathway for junior girls to take their footy to the next level, and were all about having fun while we’re doing it!

Tara has improved out of sight! Our U13 Girls are currently training at 5:30pm on Wednesday and Fridays while our Senior Women train Mondays and Thursdays at 6pm.

We are still on the look out for some more U13 Girls so if you know anyone or have a daughter wanting to have a go at football then we are the right club for you!!

Look after your teeth – Mouthguard Man (22/02/19)

Our players (juniors and seniors) are born with such beautiful smiles, so lets protect them with mouthguards all through their footy years.

And even though the U9’s competition (6, 7 or 8 yo’s) doesn’t involve tackling, it is still recommended that children wear a mouthguard even from that age.  In fact mouthguards are compulsory for all ages of Football.

You have 3 options in purchasing a mouthguard –

(1) Purchase from Chemist and fit yourself (cheapest option)

(2) Come along to Keilor Park Football Club on Friday 22nd Feb at 5:00-7:00pm and have the MouthGuard Man fit one for only $55 and delivered in just 2 weeks (recommended)

(3) Go to your local Dentist (most expensive option)

KP Women’s Charity Champs

❤️ These 3 were winners of a different kind on Saturday night.

We were fortunate enough to play at Hillside Sharks Football Club in a charity match to raise money for Breast Cancer Network Australia #bcnapinklady, Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation @zaideesrainbow and White Ribbon Australia @whiteribbonaust

As a club we raised $1,458 !

It was a huge effort and it’s really important that we recognise the outstanding contributions from @grunter900 @ambzm25 (absent on the night) and @hollybauerle towards these great causes.

You 3 are amazing! Some things are more important than footy…

Remember the KP Women’s Development Program continues tomorrow night at the club from 6:00 pm – More Information – KP Women’s
