How Can You Help ?

Each year the Keilor Park Football Club community provide support for those less fortunate.   Last year we supported families of ill children through Ronald McDonald House Charities and this year we are proud to support the Melbourne Homeless Collective Charity and the support they provide children through their ‘The School Project’ initiative.

A great initiative setup by the Melbourne Homeless Collective is to provide NEW school supplies for children in crisis accommodation and in foster care who have fled family violence and living with no stable accommodation.

This year the charity made over 700 school bags for kids living in foster care and crisis accommodation and they still need to make up more.   They are in desperate need of new donations to help get kids ready for the 2018 school year.

Having the right gear means kids don’t miss out on schoolwork or homework, they feel more included and are less likely to miss days off school.

So when you’re stocking up for the school year or filling out the book lists, please consider adding an extra couple of pens or pencils to the shopping list. It means the world of difference to kids less fortunate.

Please hand any donations from sharpeners to back packs and everything in between (pens, pencils, lunch boxes etc…) directly to Peter or Teresa anytime, either at the club during training times or at our home. We’ll make sure they get to the charity.

Any questions or assistance, please contact – Peter McGrady – 0414 444 205 – EMAIL

The charity does have a policy of only accepting NEW items for children (calculators excepted), as the children they support are already in such vulnerable positions, their self-esteem is usually very low and receiving someone’s second hand or used items can sometimes make them feel worse.

Thank you all for helping Victoria’s most vulnerable kids.

Players Needed – Under 19’s

The Keilor Park Football Club is looking for enthusiastic individuals interested in playing Under 19’s Division 2 in 2018.

The club has a number of exciting Under 17 players from 2017 who now qualify for U19’s in 2018, but we are still short a few players to make a team to support these boys.

The Under 19’s will be coached by club legend Matt Wilson, who also runs the Keilor Park Football Development Academy for U17 and U19 players, aimed at preparing players for the rigours of Senior football.

If you are interested in playing in the Under 19 competition in 2018, please let us know or just drop into pre-season training and say hello.

Pre-Season Training commences Wednesday 15th November at 6:00pm and will run every
• Monday 6:00 – 7:30pm
• Wednesday 6:00 – 7:30pm

The Under 19’s will conduct pre-season under the guidance of senior fitness coaches alongside Senior and U17 players and will involve a mixture of fitness, gym and football activities.
Keilor Park Football Club is the first sports club as you enter the Keilor Park Sporting Complex on the corner of Stadium and Keilor Park Drives.
