Juniors Withdrawn from Season 2020

The Keilor Park Football Club committee wish to advise the community, members and players that we will be withdrawing our junior team’s, Auskick program and our 18.5 team from season 2020. The decision is consistent with last weeks announcement by the EDFL with canceling the senior men and women competition and effectively places our club in lockdown until the COVID crisis is over.

As a club we pride ourselves on always putting family safety first and in the current COVID-19 climate we simply cannot guarantee this.  With the recent outbreak in our community and further tightening of restrictions, preparing and playing football is simply untenable.  We ask everyone to please continue to adhere to all government guidance on managing this outbreak so we can all safely return to our normal lives ASAP.

Whilst we will all dearly miss the social fun and excitement that a football season brings, we will now begin working on season 2021 to make it the greatest year in KP history.  This will include a variety of football and social activities later in the year to not only closeout this season, but celebrate the launch of the 2021 pre-season.  We will also commence expanding our football structure for 2021 with the introduction of both a Women and Junior President and supportive sub-committees.

From a finance perspective, all paid registration for season 2020 will automatically rollover into 2021.  However; if any family is experiencing financial hardship please contact our treasurer for a full refund.

Finally, we would like to thank our sponsors, members, supporters, players and coaches who are currently doing it tough for their on-going patience and support during these times. You have all been amazing and we look forward to your support when we can safely re-open again in 2021.

Best Regards
Shannon Rogers
