Juniors Withdrawn from Season 2020

The Keilor Park Football Club committee wish to advise the community, members and players that we will be withdrawing our junior team’s, Auskick program and our 18.5 team from season 2020. The decision is consistent with last weeks announcement by the EDFL with canceling the senior men and women competition and effectively places our club in lockdown until the COVID crisis is over.

As a club we pride ourselves on always putting family safety first and in the current COVID-19 climate we simply cannot guarantee this.  With the recent outbreak in our community and further tightening of restrictions, preparing and playing football is simply untenable.  We ask everyone to please continue to adhere to all government guidance on managing this outbreak so we can all safely return to our normal lives ASAP.

Whilst we will all dearly miss the social fun and excitement that a football season brings, we will now begin working on season 2021 to make it the greatest year in KP history.  This will include a variety of football and social activities later in the year to not only closeout this season, but celebrate the launch of the 2021 pre-season.  We will also commence expanding our football structure for 2021 with the introduction of both a Women and Junior President and supportive sub-committees.

From a finance perspective, all paid registration for season 2020 will automatically rollover into 2021.  However; if any family is experiencing financial hardship please contact our treasurer for a full refund.

Finally, we would like to thank our sponsors, members, supporters, players and coaches who are currently doing it tough for their on-going patience and support during these times. You have all been amazing and we look forward to your support when we can safely re-open again in 2021.

Best Regards
Shannon Rogers

KPFC Junior families will be supporting the Bushfire Disaster Appeal with $10 from every footy registration received during our recent McHappy Day registration day being directed to the appeal.  Each year the junior group have supported the Ronald McDonald House and The School Project for homeless children charities, but with the recent events across Victoria this years donation will go towards the families most impacted by fires.

If you can help out in any way, please click on the link below, which is the official Bushfire disaster appeal page published by Emergency Victoria to help families.

Bushfire Disaster Appeal

A Bushfire Disaster Appeal has been established in support community members affected by the recent bushfires in East Gippsland and Hume.

Donations to the Bushfire Disaster Appeal can be made at any Bendigo Bank branch or online via www.communityenterprisefoundation.com.au/make-a-donation/bushfire-disaster-appeal/

All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible and donors will be provided with a tax receipt through the Foundation.

The appeal provides a formal channel for the public to donate money directly to affected communities and is designed to achieve positive outcomes for the community, by working directly with local recovery committees and structures to inform and drive the distribution of funds.

The appeal will be conducted by the Bendigo Bank’s charitable arm, Community Enterprise Foundation, and funds raised will be used in a range of locally identified charitable areas to provide relief and recovery in the fire affected areas.
